Book Review: The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong
At first Chloe is determined to keep her head down. But then her room mate disappears after confessing she has a poltergeist, and some of the other patients also seem to be manifesting paranormal behaviour. Could that be a coincidence? Or is Lyle House not quite what it seems…? Chloe realizes that if she doesn’t uncover the truth, she could be destined for a lifetime in a psychiatric hospital. Or could her fate be even worse…? Can she trust her fellow students, and does she dare reveal her dark secret?
This book was awesome. It took a slightly different take on your average supernatural. It had me on the edge of my seat and I loved the characters. You've got all kinds of bad guys and weirdos and some scientists in this one. I'm not sure what else to say about it other than I loved it :). If you're a fan of paranormal books than you should definitely try this one. If you're bored with the endless paranormal romances that all end the same then pick up this book. That's all I got. Thanks for reading!
Up next is The Awakening by Kelley Armstrong, the second book in this trilogy.
I'm Amanda! I originally started this blog as a way to share my short stories, but then it grew to include YA book reviews, author interviews, and giveaways. I LOVE reading YA and Middle Grade, and I'm a sucker for fantasy books. Along with reading and writing, I play golf, crochet scarves, sing, and in June I'll be off to college! Thanks for stopping by my blog, and I hope you enjoy it!
